Added capability in FTP job to have Host and Target names with leading/trailing quotes. Use the '^' symbol which will be transla ted at runtime to a single quote. 4. Goto Configurations -> Security and UNCHECK the "[ ] Encr ypt security sensitive strings" - checkbox. Then use the TMG keygen to get a registration code for your name and register the program. Now you can re-enable the string encryption if if you like, TechScheduler will stay registered. Read the technical note below if you want to know why your Username appears crypted in the registered program's About box after you re-enabled the new string encryption setting. ---- Technical Note ---- With version 3.60, the author implemented this new configuration setting to enable/disable encryption of 'security sensitive strings&# 39; which the application stores in your registry (see above). Unfortunately he uses the *same* subroutine at CS:483570 to decrypt any strings the program reads from your registry (incl. registration strings...) Well, normally this wouldn't be an issue, because it worked well in the previous versions of TechScheduler. But this time he had to include some check in his string decryption routine, whether encryption is enabled or not (depends on your settings) and this is where the shit begins... Default setting is "Encryption enabled" and if you st art TechScheduler for the first time and register it without changing this setting, it will store your registration data encrypted in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Dean Software\TechScheduler\Config That's fine, but when you close the program now and restart it, TechScheduler will verify your registration data *BEFORE* it checks if encryption is enabled or not and the flag which holds this info is set to FALSE (encryption disabled) at that time :-( Conclusion: The program will read your encrypted registration data without decrypting it and then will try to verify...this (of course) fails and the program is again unregistered :-( That's why you have to turn off this new cool anti-encryption feature before you register -> The program must save your registration data in UNENCRYPTED form to registry. Note, that if you re-enable the string encryption after registering, TechScheduler will stay registered but your Username will appear encrypted in the program's About box.
